“In this program, I wanted to highlight composers such as Martín y Soler, Sarti and Salieri, who influenced the style of the great Mozart. For me, this artist had a way of embracing other people’s music and metabolizing it, making it his own and suddenly giving us his own genius by absorbing what he found best in others. It therefore seemed fundamental to me to take an interest in the contemporaries of the master who gave birth to many ideas in him.”
